Held in your hand the difference is difficult to tell, but take a close up picture with the flash enabled quickly shows the flaws in competing bulbs construction and quality of materials used.

In the competitors bulb you will see a grainy glass housing / coating - think of it as trying to see out of scratched sunglasses.  These scratches create scattered light output and results in poor illumination and often results in mismatched Kelvin grades.

While surface flaws are impossible to prevent, at Hoën we use only the highest grades of materials reducing noticeable flaws making our license plate bulbs the best available at any price.
