Höen vs. 'white box' generic

A very common bulb sold by a handful of Internet retailers is the Chinese made 'white box' generic type product.  These unbranded bulbs suffer a number of design flaws most viewable in the image below including:

- incorrect capsule length (creates fitment problems on some vehicles)
- incorrect filament alignment (creates scattered light and inconsistent light projection)
- capsule angle deficiencies (poor internal quality control or shoddy manufacturing equipment)
- incorrect wattage rating on 9006's (Commonly printed 55w where 51w is the correct specification)
- incorrect Kelvin grade marketing (commonly sold as 5,000k which is way off actual rating of 3600-3800K)

So what does this mean to the consumer?  These bulbs are commonly passed on as a private labeled type products but always ship in unlabeled plain white boxes.  On eBay these bulbs go for a reasonable price of around $9.99 per pair which we feel is fair for a bulb of this caliber.  However, when sold by retailers for $25 per pair or more simply put the customer is getting a raw deal indeed.

You might be wondering how the bulb pictured above made it into the customers hands?  As quality control from these manufacturers is lacking and seeing how when it hits the retailer it is not visually inspected (hidden in a white box) the end result is an unhappy customer with an unbelievably flawed bulb.
